杜塞尔多夫 (德语：Düsseldorf或Duesseldorf,英语：Dusseldorf），位于莱茵河畔，是德国北莱茵-威斯特法伦的州首府。市区人口有约57万人，是德国广告，服装和通讯业的重要城市。这里也是欧洲最大的日本人聚居地，日侨多达500多人，市内有许多日资公司。杜塞尔多夫是19世纪德国诗人海因里希·海涅的出生地。

历史


当罗马帝国正向整个欧洲巩固其地位之时，一些日耳曼族群在莱茵河东岸沼泽之地定居下来。
到了七，八世纪之时，在杜塞尔河流入莱茵河之处，已有了以耕作和捕鱼为生的部落，杜塞尔多夫从而发展起来。

杜塞尔多夫最早的文字记载可回溯于1135年。1186年，杜塞尔多夫于被纳入伯格（Berg）的管辖地（伯格是中世纪时代在北莱茵-威斯特法伦州的一个领地）。在1280年，伯格的行政署被迁到此处。过后，杜塞尔多夫在1288年8月14日被赐城市地位。1380年，杜塞尔多夫成为伯格领地的区域首府.

在第二次世界大战之时，杜塞尔多夫几乎被同盟国军的日夜轰炸夷为平地，但在战后积极地被重建。杜塞尔多夫在1946年成为北莱茵-威斯特法伦州的首府。

杜塞尔多夫是德国广告，服装和通讯业的重要中心。市内共有约1000所广告公司，其中包括了以杜塞尔多夫为基地的德国三大广告公司 （BBDO Group Deutschland, Grey Group Deutschland和Publicis Group Deutschland）。通讯业是近年来在杜塞尔多夫急速发展的行业。

莱茵电视塔（Rheinturm）-几乎每个德国大城市都有一座电视塔。杜塞尔多夫的电视塔位於莱茵河畔，是杜塞尔多夫最高的地方了，登塔可以俯瞰全城。塔上设有餐厅Rheinturm Top 180，是城里最好的餐厅之一。塔身上的“灯表”算是与众不同的地方了，分小时、分钟、秒钟三段显示。
奔阿特城堡(Schloß Benrath)-城南漂亮的巴洛克粉色的城堡，城堡后面是法国式的花园，周围被森林环绕。穿过森林不远就是莱茵河。靠近城堡旁是杜塞尔多夫高档别墅区。
愉瑞格啤酒馆(Uerige)-是城里最大的啤酒馆。出售新鲜的自酿啤酒，客人可以围着酒桶喝杜塞尔多夫的“老啤”。
帆船餐馆(Zum Schiffchen)-拿破仑曾经到访过的餐馆，可以品尝纯正的德国猪肘子、香肠。
